Amanda Nelson
Hi, I’m Amanda Nelson—an artist, designer, and photographer based in the Bay Area with a love for bold color, dynamic storytelling, and next-level composition. I got my start as a hobbyist behind the lens as a kid, chasing light and moments across the East Bay. When I first experienced Carnaval San Francisco as a teen, the energy and vibrance of the event opened my world—and now, years later, I’m proud to serve as its Director of Photography. With over 20 years of experience in photography and print media, I bring a fine art foundation, technical know-how, and an eye for the unexpected to every shoot. Current clients include Calle 24, Mission Cultural Center, Mixcoatl, and more, and whether I’m working on portraits, events, or creative campaigns, my goal is always the same: to capture something real, beautiful, and uniquely you.

"Amanda Nelson was the photographer HealthRIGHT 360 used for our Walden House 50th Anniversary Celebration.  Less than 24 hours later, she sent us the link to the wonderful photos. Not only are there great posed shots (where the lighting is terrific and people look 10 years younger!!)  but she was able to obtain candid images that reflect the joy, love, and energy that was in the room.  Amanda did not miss a moment that we hoped to record, and she is incredibly responsive and easy to work with.  I whole-heartedly recommend her for her artistry and her keen ability to capture those one-of-a-kind moments that you will cherish." -Jeff Schindler, Director of Philanthropy healthRIGHT 360.
